This map illustrates where manufacturing of industrial heat pumps, or components for industrial heat pumps, takes place in the United States, as of May 2026. It plots only sites producing heat pumps intended to provide industrial process heating, or sites producing components that are used in such heat pumps.
The map supports the IHP Alliance’s policy advocacy and market transformation efforts by improving visibility into domestic manufacturing capacity. Understanding where IHPs and their components are manufactured will help build market confidence among the users of these systems, help foster coalitions to support the market’s advancement, and enable policymakers and program administrators to better target funds for manufacturing, infrastructure, and supply chain development.
Data for this project was sourced from IHP and component manufacturers themselves, as well as from internet research using the Dun & Bradstreet Hoovers database and manufacturer websites.
