Manufacturing facilities that are interested in installing IHPs must have data on their process heating applications to determine which types of IHPs are a good fit and to decide on competitive bids. IHP suppliers need to understand the technical, environmental, economic, and regulatory requirements of individual manufacturing facilities to determine whether one of their products may be suited to specific applications. In many cases, a list of critical data points from interested manufacturing facilities can reduce the iterative costs of site visits or multiple conversations to select equipment.
The IHP Procurement Toolkit includes a questionnaire for manufacturing facilities about a particular process where IHPs could apply. Interested manufacturing facilities can complete the questionnaire and send it to the list of suppliers included in the toolkit to initiate a competitive bidding process.
